I Romanisti. Cenacoli e vita artistica da Trastevere al Tridente (1929-1940)
Artworks part of the exhibition I Romanisti. Cenacoli e vita artistica da Trastevere al Tridente (1929-1940), showing at the Museo di Roma in Trastevere from 15 December 2022 to 4 June 2023.
Three works from the collection from the Galleria d'Arte Moderna are included in the exhibition I Romanisti. Cenacoli e vita artistica da Trastevere al Tridente (1929-1940): Self-portrait by Orazio Amato, oil on canvas of 1940 (inv. AM 1385) and two Roman views by Orfeo Tamburi, Trinità dei monti of 1936-40 (inv. AM 1383) and Villa Medici of 1939 (inv. AM 1747).
The exhibition reconstructs the fervour of the Roman artistic environment of the 1930s and 1940s, with its cenacles, literary salons and the lively promotion of 'Romanist' culture understood in the broadest sense of literary, artistic, antiquarian and entertainment phenomena.
The exhibition is divided into five sections and includes about 100 works including painting, sculpture, graphics, photography and documents.
Exhibition curated by Roberta Perfetti and Silvia Telmon.
