Klimt e l'arte italiana
From an idea by Vittorio Sgarbi, an exhibition curated by Beatrice Avanz, which can be visited at the MART in Rovereto.
After being part of the exhibition itinerary of the exhibition Klimt. La Secessione e l’Italia a Palazzo Braschi (Rome, 27/10/2021 - 27/03/2022) the painting Violette from the Galleria d'Arte Moderna returns to the works of the great Austrian master on the occasion of the exhibition Klimt e l'arte italiana at the MART in Rovereto.
The fascinating female portrait by Enrico Lionne (inv. AM 30), oil on canvas from 1913, makes up, together with around two hundred other works of painting, sculpture, graphics and decorative arts by artists from different geographical and cultural backgrounds, the rich itinerary of the exhibition, which describes in a wide-ranging way the influence exerted by Klimt on Italian art in the early 20th century.
