Exhibition curated by Maria Cristina Bandera hosted at the Palazzo Reale in Milano.

The Morandi 1890-1964 exhibition celebrates the elective relationship between the city of Milan and the artist through an exhibition of around 120 works, divided into 34 sections that chronologically document the various phases of Giorgio Morandi's painting. Also part of the selection is the painting Natura Morta (1932, oil on canvas) from the collections of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna (inv. AM 1056), a significant example of Morandi's mature language which, having overcome the metaphysical season, turns to the study of plastic values and universal forms particularly in still life, rendered through a marked expressive and material intensity.
