Luigi Bartolini. Attraverso il colore
Exhibition curated by Manuel Carrera hosted at the Musei Civici Palazzo Buonaccorsi in Macerata.
The Marche Region celebrates with a series of events the 60th anniversary of the death of Luigi Bartolini, the multifaceted artist, writer, poet and engraver born in Cupramontana in 1892 and died in Rome in 1963. Two paintings by Luigi Bartolini will temporarily leave the storerooms of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna to be part of the exhibition at Palazzo Buonaccorsi: Veduta di Anguillara (1938, oil on canvas, inv. AM 4001) and Il tavolinetto (1941, oil on canvas applied on cardboard, inv. AM 1421). In the use of bright, bright colours and the broad, free brushstrokes, the two canvases significantly exemplify the pictorial production of the artist's maturity.
